Don’t millions of tiny electronic devices surround us? Right from our digital wristwatch, to our toaster and refrigerator in our homes, from car navigation system (GPS) to personal digital assistants — more so cellular mobile phones or laptops — can be seen on everyone, everywhere, every time. What matters the most is finding that right ‘chip-junk’ (pardon the satire on chipmunks) that will help us from going nuts with what these guys say nowadays – information overload.

Quite a few years back, not many were aware of any other so-called computer or machine than one, which ran on Windows, Doors, or whatever! However, there was one. Apple. Even before furniture-styled software for computers started burrowing into our simpler lives and causing panic over an otherwise fun activity – Freezing, in the Alps that is. With a highly advanced user-friendly interface and styled icons, which was not only 3D in appearance, but also supported transparency, thus making background items visible, made for a very intuitive and lucid user interaction with the computer, Apple PCs made for a formidable alternative to the Windows-run PCs. However, that’s just not it. This form, feature, and function was eventually extended to the world’s first personal music player — Apple iPod. Since the first of the series to the current 4th generation iPod, now called the iTouch due to touch screen functionality, carrying around a personal music player has now gradually evolved into a personal entertainment and communication gadget. Well, just prior to the launch of the Apple iTouch, Apple launched one of the world’s most anticipated and highly advanced GSM mobile cellular phones, the Apple iPhone. This marvelous electronic device has simply redefined the way we humans interact with an otherwise non-living, silicon-substrate based, man-made piece of light-emitting tablet. This gadget is a mobile phone, personal media player, instant messenger, Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), GPS, weather and climate guide, real-time news receiver, and something short of your own personal assistant —all rolled into one. One could even discard their laptop and this device would be more than enough to build a presentation from scratch in no time!

Just when there were enough clones to imitate the best personal handheld all-in-one gadget, Apple rolled out an even larger unit; to kick them all out! The Apple iPad. One can say it’s just a larger brother of the humble Apple iPhone. However, one must also consider that it can very well be a replacement for a laptop. Moreover, it also allows inserting a GSM SIM card through one side, and Voila! Read eBooks, Play games, tune in to some awesome music, catch up on good movies, surf the internet, exchange emails, poke your friends at FaceBook, connect to your colleagues at LinkedIn, etc. at blazing speeds of the 3G GSM network in no time! Well, needless to say, Apple, with its technologically advanced gadgets makes doing things simpler!
